Flushing automatics does not change all the fluid in the transmission. Removing the oil pan if equipped and changing filter plus fluid is much more beneficial as all debris in the pan will be removed.
Transmission filters are often a paper/media type and manufacturing debris, normal wear factors can block filters to the point where the transmission pump is noisy when cold and quickly cause internal damage to the transmission.
Most transmissions no longer have dipsticks and setting the oil level at the correct temperature is crucial to longevity of transmission
